[attr="class","p_template"] [attr="class","p_header"]introduction [attr="class","p_content"]Food, water, and energy—these three essential resources guarantee the player's survival. The requirements for minimum sustenance fluctuate depending on the player's base monster to reflect how some animals require more resources than others. Players receive bonus resources if they are well-suited to the source of the resource (e.g., a carnivore-based character may receive extra resources from eating meat). Staff will inform the player the number of resources gained for an action.
Each resource has three values: the bare minimum, the bare essentials, and the maximum. The bare minimum is the number of resources each character starts with per thread (unless a previous thread is linked indicating other circumstances). The bare essentials are the minimum amount of a resource required before players suffer from sleep deprivation, starvation, dehydration, etc. The maximum is the amount of resource a player may have before incurring health hazards.

[attr="class","p_template"] [attr="class","p_header"]resource threads [attr="class","p_content"]In resource threads, the goal of the player is to secure resources and their sources. At the end of every resource thread, the character's vitality card will be updated to reflect the results (good or bad). All new characters must perform a resource thread as they will not have much to begin with when they land. Players may have a maximum of three resource threads at the same time per character. They are not considered completed until the vitality card has been updated.
