[attr="class","p_block"]personality
[attr="class","p_post"]Quiet and somewhat aloof, River typically presents an independent and almost caustic personality. Rough around the edges, River is not one for 'subtlety' -- at least not when it comes to dealing with other people. Blunt and not one for pointless pleasantries, River always cuts straight to the point. This typically results in her finding himself in arguments or confrontations that she genuinely has very little interest in. Even now, despite her main focus being to survive, she has no intention of shying away from conflict, be it with the environment or other survivors. River is very much a 'no bullshit' type of individual.

[attr="class","p_block"]diet
[attr="class","p_post"]While typically an omnivore, River tends to stray towards a more carnivorous diet. Even during her time on the Citadel, River typically gravitated towards a more meat-based diet with a noticeable preference for red meats, such as beef, lamb and other such things.

[attr="class","p_block"]appearance
[attr="class","p_post"]River's current appearance has altered drastically due to the gene-therapy she's received. While many of her facial and bodily features have remained the same, she's undergone significant change:

[attr="class","p_block"]history
[attr="class","p_post"]From a youth, River has only known stringent standards of living. Her childhood was rigid and harsh, her ‘family’ little more than two soldiers who merely sought to breed a child capable of becoming yet another cog in the Citadel’s machine. Intended to be yet another soldier, or servant to the government, staples of a ‘happy family’ were absent in her life. All she knew was training and preparation; friends and adolescent exuberance were lost on her. By the time she was ten, she was far more cold, focused and borderline nihilistic than those who had survived or witnessed the horrors of war. [break][break][break]
However, as the games were introduced, River’s trajectory began to shift. Her future became less geared towards military service, and more towards finding success in the game. Knowing that her trajectory had been altered towards participation in the games, River simply began to prepare herself, both mentally and physically. She started studying standard survival skills, as well as researching various types of documented fauna and flora – not necessarily aware of what she’d be facing on whatever planet she is put down on.[break][break]
When the time came, River was alone. As she was preparing to be sent off to whatever planet she was expected to survive on, she was alone. Her final exchange with her parents was little more than a briefing – a mission. They had used their contacts to get an idea of the planet she was being sent off to, but the region was impossible to determine. This would do little more than give River time to further mentally prepare himself. Her mission? Succeed.[break][break]
And she would – after all, this is what she had been born for.
