[attr="class","p_post"] Burglar. Robber. Smuggler. Murderer. Convicted felon. Bel has a long resume that few people truly appreciate. Unlike many hardened criminals, he is sociable and humorous and harbors very little ill-will towards anyone at all. Belaros’ greatest asset is his disarming charm and clever, opportunistic mentality. Upon first meeting Bel seems grossly underwhelming and incapable of being a mastermind - let alone a delinquent - at all. He is just so damn pleasant to be around; most are happy to ignore the very obvious clues that point to his duplicitous and dishonest tendencies. While many criminals have been caught by corporations and military police early on in their budding careers, Belaros has escaped quite a few ‘itchy’ moments through a manipulative nature and resourceful mind. Sadly it seems his luck has run out now that he has been throw into the Game.

[attr="class","p_post"]Bel was once a good-looking man, which (in his opinion) makes the gene therapy all the more appalling.
[Break][break]
His body has become lean, long, and inhuman in the level of contortion it is now capable of. His arms and legs, conversely, have remained structurally the same despite the extension of his torso. Proportionally, his legs and arms look strangely short for his body, a fact further accentuated by the long tail and neck he has come to acquire. He looks trim and slender - much like an otter or weasel might - despite remarkably thick, soft, and silky fur covering nearly every square inch of him. Much to his dismay, he looks more monster than man (an oversized weasel or martin, maybe), with a skull more badger-like than human and paw-hands decked with semi-retractable claws. Whether by some genetic mutation or the normal interaction of his genes with his imprint, Bel's fur is a brown dilute that looks almost dog-lilac in color. His eyes seem to be the only part of him that has remained constant since the gene therapy.

[attr="class","p_block"]history
[attr="class","p_post"]From Bel’s lips to whomever asks, his history is simple. He was born on Cadyumn and he wanted things. He learned as a snot-nosed kid that taking things was the easiest way to have things, so he took things. Lots of things. He also learned that if he was nice to folks, folks were more pleasant in return. That made taking stuff a whole lot easier. What followed after was just the usual - joining smuggling rings, meeting other burglars, getting in over his head, getting bailed out by bigger fish, and learning from those better than himself. Sure, he got caught occasionally. Sure, they had him in irons. But he always got away (with or without a little help from his friends) and for Bel, it was all just a fun game of cat and mouse. Eventually he got really good at his chosen profession (crime) and made a name for himself as a real prince among thieves, capable of weaseling his way out of even the gnarliest of entrapment.
[break][break]
Needless to say, whomever selected his gene imprint had a good sense of humor.
[break][break]
Belaros is elusive about his family life. If pushed he says the only real family he ever had was a group of hard-boiled hoodlums. The corporations may have called it a ‘crime syndicate’ or a ‘gang’ but for Bel, that was family. And his family is exactly the reason he was finally captured and sent to the Game. While he admits he saw it coming, Bel took the fall for his family.
[break][break]
To be honest, after seeing what the scientists did to his face… he kinda regrets it.
